A new interpretive sign designed for the Historical Society of Vandalia Butler is helping bring local history to life in a fresh and engaging way. The sign was designed by Taylor Cupp, who has worked with the Historical Society since 2022 to strengthen its marketing, modernize communications and expand its digital presence.

The project is part of Cupp’s broader passion for helping nonprofit and community organizations tell their stories in ways that connect with today’s audiences.

Cupp specializes in nonprofit marketing, communications and digital strategy and has worked with organizations throughout the Dayton area and across the United States. His work has included branding, digital marketing, website development, storytelling and strategies designed to help mission-driven organizations increase their visibility and impact.

“Organizations like the Historical Society have incredible stories to tell,” Cupp said. “I enjoy finding ways to combine good design and modern marketing with the history and mission that make an organization special.”

For Cupp, the new interpretive sign is also a meaningful opportunity to use his professional experience to support the community that helped shape him while helping preserve its stories for future generations.
